The Africa-EU Strategic Partnership is the formal channel through which the European Union and the African Union work together. The Partnership is driven through formal dialogue and high-level meetings at various levels. From 29-30 Nov, Africa Heads of State and Government and EU Heads of State and Government will come together at EU-Africa Summit to discuss the future of EU-Africa relations and the ways to strengthen political and economic ties between the two continents.
The strategic partnership since ten years it was adopted has contributed to the promotion of development, stability and peace in Africa. EU and its member states have supported Africa with €21 billion in development aid, €32 billion in foreign direct investment, €1.4 billion in education development as well as, in sustainable development funding and in military aid to combat insecurity.
Côte d’Ivoire’s state capital Abidjan will host more than 60 EU and African leaders. They will all come together to navigate sustainable ways to invest in youths to create sustainable future. In Africa, 60% of the population is under the age of 25 and they are the most affected by underdevelopment.

governance including democracy, human rights, migration and mobility
investment and trade
skills development
job creation
