Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian declared on Saturday that his country would never capitulate to American demands, saying the enemies of Iran “must take their wish for the surrender of the Iranian people to their graves,” while simultaneously apologising to neighbouring countries for Iranian missile and drone strikes that have killed civilians and damaged infrastructure across the Gulf since the war began eight days ago.
