Iran’s Prosecutor General’s Office issued a statement on Monday saying that Iranian expatriates could face asset confiscation and possibly other legal repercussions if they are found to have supported the military actions of the United States and Israel against Iran.
The statement was issued on the same day that Iran confirmed the succession of Mojtaba Khamenei to the position of Supreme Leader after the death of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in a U.S.-Israeli military strike.
